When it comes to the question of where to shop for groceries, my answer is always, “What’s the nearest supermarket?” I don’t want to have to waste time, gas or bus fare getting there. I also don’t want to spend money while I’m at the store buying things that I can prepare myself. But what’s the best way to go about finding the right one? Here are some tips that might help you.
The best time to shop for a grocery store in my opinion, is on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. You know the days when these grocery stores (usually) are offering huge discounts. For instance, on Monday, if I shop at the store at 9am, I get an additional 20% off my order! And on Wednesday, if I shop at the store between noon and 1pm, I get an additional 10% off my entire order!
This is a tip that I learned from a friend who used to frequent supermarket near me. He informed me that he could save a lot of time by checking out the customer reviews at the supermarket websites. He then spent a few hours going through the customer reviews and finding out which supermarket supermarkets offer the best deals. Then, he would make a note of the supermarket name and the discount that he could get. This saved him a lot of time.
Another time saving tip is to shop on Saturday evening. On Saturday, the prices are lower due to competition among supermarket giants. On the other hand, on Friday and Saturday, most of the stores offer very generous discounts. So, if I were to shop on these two days, I would definitely save a lot of money.
Here is another example. Many retailers start offering “last minute” deals on Monday and Tuesday. On these days, they do not expect any customers so there is no one to compete with them. At the same time, supermarkets nearby have a lot of shoppers. Therefore, they offer huge discounts in bulk on these two days.
The above are just a few of the examples where I saved money when I visited a supermarket near me. There are many more, but I will leave it as an exercise for you to discover. However, it has given me the confidence to bargain and negotiate better because I am aware of how others bargain and negotiate. In short, I learned a lot from my own experiences.
As for my last tip, it is related to my own preference. I love eating healthy food. Therefore, I always go for the places where the produce and other food items are sold in large amounts. On the other hand, I also like shopping in supermarkets where the sales are really high. This makes the prices lower than other stores near me.
These are just some of my tips and tricks to save money when going to the supermarket. I hope I was able to help you save some dollars when doing your grocery shopping on weekdays or on sodden Tuesday and Thursday. Happy shopping!
On weekdays, I usually shop at the local Tesco supermarket near me. On Fridays and Saturdays, I take the train to the nearby Marks and Spencers store. On Monday and Wednesday, I take the bus. On every day of the week except the weekends, I try to shop for fresh products in the morning. This way, I get to have fresh produce and eat foods that are cheaper than those sold in other supermarkets.
For example, I buy breads and cereals at the local Tesco on Monday and weddreth, I buy fish and chips on Tuesday and Thursdays. On Saturday, I shop at the Marks and Spencers store. On Tuesday and weddreth, I shop at B&Q and Tesco. The reason why I do this is because I want to save money and I also want to go there without any complications. On Monday and Friday, I also make use of the stores that have dry foods and drink supplies like Costa.
I also make use of the weekly specials that are held during the week. At the beginning of every month, I make use of the weekly specials and get the items I need for my meals. I usually shop at the supermarket near me on Saturday and Tuesdays. On Tuesday and Friday, I make use of the weekly specials at the convenience store.
My weekly routine on the weekends is very similar to that of the holidays. On Tuesdays, I go to the fruit and vegetable section and on Thursdays, I shop at the fish and chips section. On Saturday, I head to the bakery section and on Sunday, I shop for fresh breads and pastas.
